Dear Michael,
Without a song from you every day is like a day "without sunshine"! You lift my spirits and fill my heart with song. I have been down the road with so many singers in my lifetime, Sinatra, Bennett, Martin, S. Lawrence, Vic Damone, etc., but I can say in all honesty, that I enjoy hearing you sing more than all of them put together. You are the consumate performer! You are smooth, sexy, and yet tender, a rare combination. When you sing "Fever", one of my favorites, you give an Academy Award Performance. Your every note and every movement, backed by the terrific band is a "work of art"! You should make an album with that title because you make a lot of people run "fever"! It is a classic. It may have been Peggy Lee's song but you can surely claim the "male" version. Michael, I have seen your pictures as a child. You were so darling with the sweetest smile! Now you are so handsome with that same smile. You still have that "inner glow". The years have not dimmed it! But don't you think you can slow down a bit! You entertain at such a "hectic pace" that I still worry about your health. Even though, you love what you are doing, can't you space your performances more. You certainly have "made it" and are a Superstar. Your fans are not going to forget you or replace you with some second string singer and there are plenty of them out there. I am so glad you came along in my lifetime, I have been waiting for the "old songs" to come back. You made my dreams come true. Thank you, thank you, dear Michael. We think alike, it is as though we are related! Maybe in another lifetime?? Hope that you can take a good long rest after this World Tour is over. Then you can go to that island and look at the blue skies, blue water and take long naps under the palm trees! I can see you now swinging in a hammock. Doesn't that sound nice and restful? Glad to see that he is in Vancouver getting some rest. I don't know he can do so many performances night after night and still stay on his feet! He must be in magnificient health. But how long will he be able to do that?
I think my favorite song is "You and I". It is just beautiful, music and words. And his voice is so tender and soft. Although I like swing, the softer songs are my favorites. Know that these Kids love the more liveier songs and there is room for both of them as long as Michael sings them.
I was wondering why we didn't hear whether he won the "Best International Entertainer Award" out of England. It was to be given by the "Brits". He has won so many awards lately. Congratulations, Michael, you certainly deserve tgen!!
Have a good rest before taking off to Australia!
Joyce
